"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His Son." Rom. 8:28-29
This was the text for my devotion on Aug. 5th, and it was a message that God knew I needed to hear. I am a woman of action, but I had been sitting and waiting for my visa to be given the go ahead so that plane tickets could be purchased. In my heart I knew that God would take care of me, but I was still struggling with sitting still. Then I read that verse. The devotion continued with a prayer including these words:
"I feel privileged that You have chosen me to serve You, that You have called me to this life. ... Give me the strength of Christ, for His grace is sufficient for me."
How true! And a fitting prayer for the way I was feeling that morning as I kept praying that everything would work out with my visa and that plane tickets could be purchased soon.
God granted my prayer request and I have been at peace about travel arrangements thus far. Later on Friday Travis called to let me know that he'd talked to the visa people and that the visa was a go. :) He wanted to double check on some info about the plane tickets, but I should be hearing about those tomorrow (or Tuesday at the latest). :) Slowly, everything is falling into place... and man am I excited! :)

God willing in EIGHT days I will be on a plane headed for Taiwan! :) Praise the Lord!
